Options dialog

In the top menu bar is the Configurations tab under which the Options menu item, with a number of settings which allows you to configure how you want your chat client software to operate.

Overview

Here in the "Options" can you set the audio and visual alerts you wish to receive when;

- Visitor arrives to your website and/or

- Visitor initiates a chat session with you and/or

- New message is entered into the chatbox (For instance a chatbox stays open in front of the visitor and after 30 minutes this same visitor enters a new messgae in the chatbox)

In addition, here you will find the Proxy settings in case you connect to the internet via a Proxy server.

When you check the "Auto start when Windows starts" checkbox, the software wil automatically launch upon Windows starting up on your computer.(If you checked the "remember my credentials" checkbox in the Connection dialogue, it will log you in as well)

New visitor alert check box

Use these checkboxes for setting when and what type of alerts you want to receive when a new visitor arrives to your website.

If you leave this box unchecked, you will not receive either audio nor visual alerts. (Recommended for high traffic websites)

New visitor only visual alert

When you check the "Only visual alert" you are to receive only visual alerts upon a new visitor arriving to your website.

New visitor visual and audio alert

When you check the "Visual and Audio alert" you are to receive both visual and audio alerts upon a new visitor arriving to your website.

The visual alert represents itself in the taskbar (blinking Promptchat) and note that you have to have your speakers switched on to hear the audio alert.

Support request alert check box

When you check the "Inform me when visitor requests support" checkbox you will receive audio and visual alerts /depending on your following settings/ when the visitors request chat support on your website.

This is obviously a vital setting and you will want to make sure you check this box and the corresponding settings configuring these alerts.

Support request only visual alert

If you check this box, you will receive only visual alerts when a visitor requests support.

(Note: blinking application icon down in the taskbar)

Support request visual and audio alert

When you check the "Visual and audio alert" checkbox you shall receive both audio and visual alerts on your computer when a visitor initiates a chat request from your website(s).

Note: this is recommended.

Support request continuous alarm check box

RECOMMENDED!

Check this box to receive alerts (depending on your settings above) nonstop. until a logged in chat operator picks up the chat request.

New message alsert check box

Check this box if you want to receive alerts when the visitor(s) send you a message through the chatbox.

New message only visual alert

Check this box if you only want to receive audio alerts when a visitor sends a message through the chatbox.

New message visual and audio alert

Check this box if you want to receive both audio and visual alerts when a visitor sends a message through the chatbox.

RECOMMENDED

Todo task alert checkbox

Check this box if you want to receive audio or visual alerts when a task changes in the ToDo Task Manager.

Todo task only visual alert

Check this box if you want to receive only audio alerts upon a task changing.

Todo task visual and audio alert

Check this box if you want to receive both audio and visual alerts when a task changes in the ToDo Task manager.

Auto start check box

Check this box if you want the chat client software to autostart when your computer boots up.

RECOMMENDED!

User proxy check box

Check this box if you are using a proxy server to connect to the internet.

Address text box

Enter the address of your proxyserver in this field.

Note: If you do not know this, please ask your system administrator.

Port text box

Enter the port for your proxy server.

Username text box

Enter the username for your proxy connection as provided by your network administrator.

Password text box

Enter the corresponding password for your proxy connection as provided by your network administrator.

Update button

Click Update to confirm the Proxy conection.

Cancel button

Click Cancel in case you are not ready to connect to your Promptchat account via Proxy server.
